Next-level commitment to equine comfort & wellbeing

Bridge the Gap Equine offers bodywork services to both horses boarded with us and horses offsite in central & southern New Jersey.

BGE owner Madeline Conley is a knowledgeable, highly qualified equine massage practitioner. Specializing in advanced myofascial release (MFR) techniques and pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF, also known as MagnaWave) application, Madeline approaches bodywork services in the same way she approaches all aspects of horse management: from an individualized perspective that most benefits the horse in front of her.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release, or MFR, is a massage modality that harnesses slow, sustained, gentle pressure to target fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles.

Fascial adhesions can occur for various reasons, including strenuous exercise, tension, lack of movement, and chronic stress and inflammation, among others. They can cause discomfort and tightness in horses’ bodies, as well as changes in behavior and attitudes.

As an MFR practitioner, Madeline pays close attention to the horse’s demeanor throughout the session, adjusting pressure and techniques as needed to best suit the horse’s individual needs on that day.

MagnaWave Services

Pulsed electromagnetic field, also known as PEMF or MagnaWave, is a non-invasive therapeutic service that leverages short, low-voltage bursts of electromagnetic waves to aid in muscular and cellular recovery.

Backed by science and myriad studies, PEMF is a safe, highly effective service that benefits horses as it reduces inflammation, expedites recovery from exercise, assists in healing processes, and provides a relaxing, restorative session.

As a trained PEMF practitioner, Madeline integrates the therapeutic service into her bodywork sessions to enhance results and provide the most comprehensive experience.
